Belonging to the military arsenal of Bugei, Naginata was traditionally used by Samurais’ wives for defense, in the absence of men. It is said that Naginata is one of the most difficult weapons to face, due to the variety of movements which can be performed. Without doubt, the fact of being able to make cuts without the need to shorten the distance is one of its most valued advantages over enemies on horseback or on foot.
